High speed ferry boat that takes visitors from Weymouth Harbour to St Malo in France or the Channel Islands. In the foreground is a group of rather smaller and slower craft.
Catching the evening light on a very cold summer evening in the Channel with French coast in the background, Maersk Dover seen from Maersk Dunkerque. Ferry renamed Dover Seaways with DFDS.
Cisco IBSG’s research shows how today’s shoppers hop from one channel to another throughout the shopping journey. In this environment, retailers must figure out how to “catch” consumers as they search for products, prices, and shopping ideas, and “keep” them connected to their brands as shoppers use various devices to bounce between channels.
Cisco IBSG’s research shows a growing interest in using digital and highly visual content in the store to help make buying decisions. Roughly one in two U.S. respondents now uses or wants to use an in-store kiosk for self-service or for accessing web-based content.

In Cisco IBSG’s 2010 survey, 60 percent of respondents identified “friends and family” as one of the top three sources of information for making buying decisions, with 21 percent of respondents naming in-store employees as a top-three source. In the 2011 survey, 41 percent of respondents named friends and family, and only 13 percent chose in-store employees as their top-three source of information for making buying decisions.

Entering the harbour at Ostend, showing the long beach / strand to the north, towards Blankenberge.
The early 1970's saw new chunkier shaped ferries appearing on the Dover-Ostend rout, 'Prins Philippe' in 1973 and 'Prince Laurent' in 1974, with bow and stern doors and a step-change in vehicle carrying capacity.
'Prins Philippe' seen here entering Ostend, in almost-new condition. The Sealink / RMT logos didn't improve the looks.
I believe this is 'Prins Philippe' due to the original paintwork, which dates the photograph to about 1973. Soon after, possibly at the guarantee dry-docking, the white paintwork was taken down a further deck and the 'Sealink' logo reduced in size.
Sold to Italy 1986 becoming 'Moby Love', then to Greece 1993.
